Converted barn with wonderful views, 10km Ribérac, Dordogne, Aquitaine.
Magnificent Périgord-style barn conversion, set in a national park area. Within easy driving distance of several market towns, picturesque lakes and rivers. Full amenities within 5km such as supermarkets, shops, cafes and restaurants.
The barn is a period property believed to be over 200 years old. It boasts 5 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Living accommodation is spacious, roomy and welcoming ideal for a relaxing holiday. There is a large, well equipped modern kitchen with 2 ovens and 2 sinks, fridge, freezer and drinks fridge.
There is a sunny garden which has a large gravelled area for sunbathing overlooking wonderful views of the Dordogne countryside. There is direct access from the property to a network of footpaths which are ideal for country walks and riding bikes. The location and views from the house are superb and an ideal vantage point for observing the wildlife.
There are a number of nearby towns to visit especially on market days and the lake complex at La Jemaye which is very popular with children. There are also canoeing trips in Riberac and horse riding at Aubeterre.

| Location and activities: | The barn has a private 10 x 5m swimming pool exclusively for the use of those renting the barn. You can relax in the pool and enjoy the amazing views of the Dordogne countryside. There are also canoe trips from Riberac and other nearby locations such as Aubeterre and Brantome. There is horseriding at Aubeterre golf courses near Aubeterre and Bergerac. There is also a leisure lake at La Jemaye 10 KM away with water activities for children, restaurants and supervised swimming and a lakeside beach. |
| Bedrooms: | There are 5 bedrooms. Four doubles and one twin. There is also a Mothercare cot with bedding. All linen is newly purchased (2008) and towels are provided. All rooms have been decorated this year and are furnished with traditional french furniture for that authentic feel. |

| Kitchen: | Kitchen boasts 2 single ovens, 2 sinks, a washing machine, freezer, fridge, separate drinks fridge, microwave-combination oven. There is plenty of storage kitchen and it is fully equipped with all cooking pots and pans, utensils, cutlery and crockery. |
| Dining: | There are two dining tables and a fully equipped dining room which is shown in one of theimages above. There is also a smaller table in the hall area for more intimate dining.All crockery is matching and this provides a co-ordinated theme for your dinner parties! |

An ideal place for chilling out and relaxing away from the stresses and strains of modern living. There is a caretaker who ensures that the property is a clean and tidy state before your arrival and a pool maintenance man who checks and cleans the pool. 'Perigueux'
"Perigueux is about 40 minutes away from the barn. This is probably the biggest local town in the area with numerous bars and restaurants and a lively atmosphere. There is also an English pub The Star (Rue des Drapeaux) which serves Guinness, bitter and Walkers crisps in case you are in withdrawal! There are evening markets which are advertised locally in the pedestrianised lanes in the historic part of town."

'Aubeterre'
"This medieval town is about 20 minutes from the barn. Here you can stroll round the medieval streets, visit the church excavated in the chalk cliffs. There is swimming on the river and you can relax on the sand beach. There are numerous restaurants and bars in the area and there is horse riding and canoeing centres by the river."
'Bergerac'
"Bergerac is about a40 minutes drive from the barn. As well as being a well known wine-growing area (there are numerous vineyards to visit and enjoy a wine tasting), there is also a historic town made famous by Cyrano de Bergerac. There are boat trips on the river, many local shops and a lively pedestrianised town centre with bars and restaurants."

"This lake is situated about 15 minutes from the barn. It boasts all the amenities of a beach. Sand, swimming, watersports, bars and restaurants. There are pleasant lakeside walks and the swimming and watersport areas are supervised for the safety of swimmers and those undertaking activities."

"There are numerous fetes, concerts, village dances, flea markets, sports events during the summer in the local area. The tourist information office will have all the details of local activities. It is lovely to sit in the square at Riberac enjoying a beer and listening to music."
