The nearest village, Monbahus, is in walking /cycling distance by footpath and road. The popular market towns of Eymet and Castilliones are 10 minutes drive away. The Dordogne département and its famous tourist sites is about 10 miles north of Courcelles. A good cycling area, golf, canoeing, tennisand riding locally. Lots of summer activities, night markets, jazz festivals, antique fairs etc.

"Spend a morning shopping here for wonderful local fruit, peaches, tomatoes, strawberries, melons. Buy something to cook on the barbecue and some local cheese. In fact there is at least one local market every day of the week including Sundays. Spend the rest of the day around the pool. Bliss."

'Eymet Night Market'
"Tuesday evenings all through the summer. Enjoy the ambience. Moules frites are provided along with chilled bottles of local rose. Pizza or duck or steak if that is your preference. Sit at a long table eat, drink and soak up the atmosphere. There is plenty to buy, a choice of things to eat and drink, music and fun. A memorable summer evening for all the family in this beautiful square. Many other villages have their own market on other evenings."
