Fifteen mins to Armoripark theme park with swimming pools. Good walking and cycling in area. Thirty mins spectacular Pink Granite Coast. Day trips include Ile de Brehat.

'Restaurants'
"There are lots of great places to eat in the area but we particularly recommend "La Boissiere" in Guingamp (3kms) as a great place for a romantic and authentic French meal - this restaurant is situated in an old village house within a little wood. The staff are lovely and speak English too! We also love visiting the numerous creperies in the region for traditional Breton "galettes" and samping delicious seafood in Paimpol."

'Armoripark'
"Only 10 minutes drive from the house at Begard is Amoripark. It's a family theme park - brilliant for children with trampolines, bouncy castles, petting zoo, pedalos and indoor and outdoor swimming pools with three water slides. "

'Beaches'
"The house is wonderfully located to explore literally hundreds of sandy coves around Cotes d'Armor or further afield. From empty stretches of sand at Beg Leguier, rock pools and kiteflying at Plage Bonaparte or busier resorts with Children's Clubs at St Quay Portrieux - they can all be reached within 25-45 mins drive. You could easily try a different beach every day in a fortnight's holiday."

'Ile de Brehat'
"For a memorable day trip, take the short ferry crossing over to Brehat, a small and beautiful car free island which supposedly has its own tropical micro climate! Hire bikes and explore the scenery - pink granite coves and sandy beaches. "

'La Decouverte du Son'
""Sound Discovery" takes place on a lovely woodland walk near Cavan (10 mins) Children can experiment with making different sounds by playing inventive rustic instruments located along the pathways. This is really unique, and good fun for adults too!"

"This is an incredible walk along the Pink Granite Coast at Ploumana'ch. (30 mins drive) The rocky headlands are otherworldly, taking on strange animal forms - you'll feel as though you are walking through a film set!"

'Guingamp Farmers' Market'
"Guingamp is the agricultural centre for the Cote's d'Armor region - so the Farmers Market on Friday mornings is the perfect place to pick up fresh, local produce. There is also a good market in Morlaix on Saturday mornings."
