The house is adjacent to the grounds of the 15th century Rohan Chateau and 2-3 minutes walk from the beautiful centre of the medieval town with its shops, bars and a variety of restaurants

Ground floor. There is a fully fitted kitchen/diner with wood burning stove. Just off the kitchen is an area with a washing machine and dishwasher. Behind this is the lounge with satellite tv (Freeview channels)/video, dvd and easy-seating. The lounge exits onto a courtyard with steps that lead to the paved and gravelled garden with a pergola, barbecue, garden furniture and views across the town to the cathedral of Notre Dame.

First floor. There is a large en suite bedroom with king-size bed to the front and a second bedroom with twin beds and vanitary unit overlooking the garden. There is another toilet on the landing.

Second floor. There is a bathroom and a large bedroom with a double bed.

For out of season bookings, there is a storage heater in the lounge and a supply of wood for the wood burning stove which heats the rest of the house. There is a cd/tape/radio and a supply of books, videos, dvds and games.

Josselin is on the river Oust/Nantes-Brest Canal with beautiful walks or cycling along the towpath. Behind the house is the ‘Jardin de Bois Amour’, a lovely wooded area with boules pitch, amphitheatre, a lake, picnic areas and a bamboo grove. There is a market every Saturday in the town centre and two large supermarkets on the outskirts of town.

The boulangerie is just five doors down the street and a bar/tabac on the corner – what more could you ask!!!

The Lac au Duc with various water sports and a 9-hole golf course available is 10km away at Ploermel. Vannes and the Gulf of Morbihan beaches are 45km to the south. The forest of Broceliande with its legends of King Arthur and fairies is a short distance to the north. Many of the surrounding towns are of historic interest. Josselin is about 2 hours drive from Roscoff and about an hour and a half from St Malo
