Water quality is maintained by an electro system which has a screen so that you can monitor your levels at all times. No chemicals are needed.

The property is superbly located with panoramic views over unspoilt countryside and is ideal for 2 or 3 families wishing to holiday together as it sleeps up to 10. (Guests beds and cots are available for extra children).

L'Esprit Campagne is particularly suited to those who do not wish to share their garden or pool facilities with owners or other gites sited nearby as it is detached and is for your sole use.

This is a stylish home, in an wonderful rural setting but within walking distance of a village and only 4 miles from a splendid medieval city. It is a fantastic base for exploring the rich Breton culture.

Pool and Outdoor Facilities

A luxury, heated salt-water, chemical free, 8 m by 4.5 m, heated swimming pool is provided for your sole use which adds to the villa experience. The surrounding terracing is non-slip and there is an outdoor shower and changing room. An alarm has been installed to comply with the new regulations. There is also security fencing around the pool. There is a lovely cushioned patio set with parasol, and various outdoor furniture. A full sized Breton chimney barbecue is also provided for those lazy days round the pool.

Extensive guides books maps are provided and there are locally based English and French-speaking caretakers. Excellent testimonials are available.

"Don't forget to bring a basket and spend a morning in the hustle of one of our local markets checking out the colourful fresh local produce. Take in the scent of the fresh food. Choose from a great fruit selection, seafood, organic butter and cheeses, giant garlic and shallots to name a few. Stock up for your evening bbq."

'Let Someone Else Cook'
"The area has an abundance of great local produce home cooked. Ranging from the gourmet to the local set menu for 9 Euros where you get up to 5 courses with wine. Bit of a lucky dip. For the less fainthearted most places have a lunchtime menu for around 10 Euros with choices and a set kids menu. Even the simplest of menus will include great meats and fish with lovely sauces. Seafood is a speciality in the area and oysters are common as are mussels. Great head turning seafood platters are also available. For a snack great creperies with savoury and sweet pancakes, flambee with liquors. Tip, drink wine by the pitcher as it is cheaper around 5 Euros for 50cl if not included with the meal."

"Within a short distance of 2 designated towns of character. Golf, fishing, watersports, horse riding and action activites are all available locally. The local Nantes to Brest Canal offers opportunities to hire a boat by day to see the scenery from another angle. Splendid local château. Great beaches on the nearby Morbihan coast and a lake sandy beach a short drive away. Throughout the summer there are many local events and street parties Fest Noz which take place, as well as many cultural, classical and rock musical and art events. The Voie Verte is a massive expanse of cycle path for walking and cycling, great picnics, in the ancient forests and waterways."
