Jas de Manon 1 Bedroom Cottage (CV002332)

The cottage provides comfortable living for 2 - a standard French double bed, tables and chairs, a new corner kitchen, with gas cooker, microwave and fridge and a small utility room with washing machine and an outside barbecue. The bathroom has basin, wc and shower. The tv/vcr receives BBC and free to air Sky programs. Linens other than swimming towels are provided, and all utilities and end of stay cleaning are included.

The cottage has its own private garden overlooking our olive grove. You will enjoy too the large pool and its peaceful garden surroundings and shade trees. There is a pétanque court for a little competitive activity.

Salernes is a typical Provençal village, centuries old with a pleasant shaded square, local shops, restaurants, garages, banks, internet, medical and other services. Provence tiles and pottery are made here. The village has many artisan workshops and a twice weekly market.

The large and outstandingly beautiful Lac Ste Croix and the entrance to the Gorges du Verdon are 30 minutes away. The countryside offers outstanding walking and cycling oppurtunities (bicycles can be rented in the village). You will be welcome at the local tennis club and golf is available less than an hour away and for the more adventuresome there is horseback riding or a descent of the Verdon by raft or canoe. More restfully, in this centre of Provence wine production, you can enjoy visiting local domaines and finding your favourite red, rosé, or blanc to take home or just relax in the seclusion of your own home from home. Good food, from simple Provençal fare to sophisticated and expensive haute cuisine, are all available within a few kilometres. For more cultural outings we recommend the Cistercian Abbeys of Le Thoronet or Sénanque, the latter still an active religious  community, the Musée de Préhistoire at Quinson, or a visit to one of the many impressionist or modern art galleries on the coast.

As your resident hosts we will be around when needed and will be pleased to share our local knowledge about where to go, what to see and what not to do, like using the coast road to St Tropez!  The cottage is for adult couples only;  our welcome is also gay and naturist friendly.
