"A 30 minute drive there is a lot do and see here. The old town with the magnificent Cathedral, the famous 24 hour race track, the car museum, not to mention a new tram system. A very good shopping centre and plenty of wonderful French restaurants. Two weekly markets including a Sunday morning at the Cathedral steps."

'Les Alpes Mancelles'
"An area of outstanding natural beauty with cliffs, gorges and rivers. Ideal for walking, fishing and canoeing. The village of St Céneri-le-Géneri, reputedly one of the prettiest villages in France, is situated in this area."

'Local Dishes'
"There are many good local restaurants some of which are listed at the gite. However, most of the local butchers do a wonderful choice of home-made ready dishes typical of the region. Hot dishes ready for the microwave and delicious salads to go with a piece of fresh warm French bread and Normandy butter."

"The nearest town with a traditional weekly market, a chateau, plenty of good restaurants and the best local patisserie with delicious bread, croissants, pastries, tarts and home made chocolates.
