La Maison Tranquille 2 Bedroom Cottage (LM002220)

This tastefully renovated cottage is nestled right in the heart of the typical rural and friendly village of Villepail. Ideally located in the Pays de Loire region of France. La Maison Tranquille provides an ideal base to explore some of the most beautiful and historic sites in France.

Accommodation. With all the conveniences of a modern home, yet still retaining its original features, La Maison Tranquille has a very spacious and comfortable appeal. The cottage boasts 2 large bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and a vast lounge/diner, enjoying wonderful views of the garden and green valley beyond.

Set within 2 acres of land, the cottage has its own private courtyard, bbq and large lawned area. The rest of the garden is made up of large flower borders, vegetable plot and fruit orchard. We also keep free range chickens, geese and sheep (lambs in spring and summer) and we sell eggs, seasonal fruit and vegetables to our guests.

The village has a well stocked fishing lake, boules pitch and many forest nature walks. The baker calls outside the door 3 times a week, the grocery and butcher vans call on Thursdays at the front of the church and the local market is in Villaines-La-Juhel every Monday.

Villaines-La-Juhel is only 6km away and has a supermarket, swimming pool, pleasure lake, fishing lake, play park and many bars and restaurants.

Sille-La-Guillaume Plage, the pretty villages of the Alpes Mancelles, La-Fert-Mace, Bagnoles-de-L'Orne and Mayenne are all within ½ hour. Le Mans, the ferry port of Caen and the Normandy beaches can all be reached in 1½ hours.
