Nontron is a lively medieval market town, a perfect place to stay for exploring the beautiful countryside of the Dordogne region. From the house it is just a short walk to independently owned, traditional shops and family run restaurants, offering fantastic French gastronomy. Regular traditional markets are held around the vicinity along with Nontron’s own market which is held every Saturday providing a real flavour of the area.

An ideal place to stay for visiting the many sites of interest and history this stunning region is famous for. Grand châteaux, caves, restaurants, markets and shops, along with swimming in the lakes and rivers or Nontron’s swimming pool. River canoeing and other watersports are also in the area. Golf and horse riding are popular and impressive valley walks are not to be missed. In easy reach of Sarlat, Baynac, Bergerac, Cognac and even Bordeaux - there are many interesting, fun packed days out available.

The house has original beamed ceilings, a large double bedroom and 2 twin rooms. There is a spacious bathroom with a shower, and bath and toilets are situated on both floors. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances making your stay simple and easy and allowing everyone the chance to really relax. A washing machine is also available for use in the garage. The property is fully insulated and has central heating, so the house is comfortable at any time of year. The living and dining area is open plan overlooking the courtyard part of the garden. Here there is a bbq and garden furniture for guests to enjoy eating outside during the wonderful summer days and evenings. There is also a raised terrace which is ideal for enjoying a glass of wine whilst looking out over the magnificent views of Nontron and the beautiful valley. Also a perfect place to watch the summer fire works from. Linen and towel hire are available along with cleaning services if required.
