"Superb family run hotel and restaurant off the square where the post office is 200m from apartment. Three course meals lunch and evening from 10.5 euros. Thursday plat de jour, calves head, always popular with the locals!"

Local Area and Activities

'Days out'
"The capital of Brittany, RENNES, is well worth a visit, as are Combourg, with market on Monday mornings, lake and castle, also Dol de Bretagne with Cathedral"

'Mont St Michel'
"An absolute must if you have never been, ALWAYS crowded, but worth it. If you have cycles, park a distance away and cycle along the causeway."

'Walk the Ramparts'
"A complete tour of the walled city, on top of the walls with views of all the beaches, port, city, islands etc. Takes approx one hour."

'Walk to the Islands'
"At low tide walk across the sand and causeway to the offshore islands, visit the fort, but don`t get caught by the incoming tide."

'Dinan market'
"Another good market on Thursday mornings in a town not to be missed, castle, city walls,timber houses etc"

'Dinard market'
"Go over the River Rance barrage and in 10 mins you are in Dinard, the market is probably the best in the area, on Saturday mornings. See the old frenchman with his one-man-band, hundreds of stalls with everything you could wish for, bargains galore!"

'OYSTERS galore'
"Cancale and the bay of Mont St Michel are famous for their oyster beds and they are sold very cheaply on the quay from 3 euros a dozen!"

'St Malo Intra Muros shops'
"Just outside the apartment door there are lots of designer shops, tourist shops, cafes, restaurants, and pavement cafes to rest your legs and watch the world go by."

'St Servan market'
"St Servan is only a 10 min walk from Intra Muros, and has a good main street of shops and on two days has a good market also. Worth a visit to beach, marina, Solidor Tower and swimming pool. All near to ferry port."
