About the Property

Farmhouse, gites and mobile homes in Mellionnec, Morbihan, Brittany.

'Belle Vue' welcomes you to share our family life on our smallholding of cows, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, pigs, horses and children.

Solar-heated swimming pool open May - September.

Good base for walking, family canoeing, exploring and relaxing. Childrens paradise. Signposted 6 and12km walks, Bike hire and pony rides from the farm.

Logs, gas, electric, water, bed linen and cots supplied.

St Malo 2½ hours, Roscoff 1½ hours, beaches 1 hour.

Nearest ferry port:	Roscoff 1.5 hours, St Malo 2.25 hours, Caen and Cherbourg 4 hours - all easy driving
Nearest restaurant:	Ty MALO, 2km (crêpes, snacks and restaurant ) and PIZZERIA 8km. Many traditional lunchtime menus within a 10km radius, test them all for about 10 Euros each experience. We can point you in the right direction and book for you.
Location and activities:	The heart of rural Brittany, the ideal base to explore the whole of Brittany. Plenty to do also without getting in the car.
Bedrooms:	Visit our website for photos of bedrooms in all accommodations.
Bathrooms:	There were none here at all 16 years ago, now each accommodation has at least one!
Kitchen:	Fully equipped with microwaves, kettles, toasters and coffee-machines. "La Maison Rouge" has a dishwasher too. For your laundry, you can deliver to us in the morning and we will have it dry and folded in the evening at a small fee.
Dining:	All you need and if you find you are short of something, we are here next door to help.
Living area:	Each property has adequate living space, inside and out for all the party. NO tvs or dvds, real live entertainment on the farm. We have no objection to you bringing a portable dvd player if you are sure you will suffer from withdrawal symptons!
Entertainment on-site:	Swimming pool, boules court, table tennis, football nets, football table, family soirées. Guided tours round the farm twice every day to learn some animal husbandry. You can collect the eggs, feed the chickens and milk a goat. You can help round up the sheep, then watch them be sheared. You can watch in real life haymaking, the combine harvester, ploughing, fencing etc etc....who needs a tv? Bike hire and route plans for short and long excursions for all the family. Tested walking routes too.
Outside:	Each accommodation has its own private sunloungers, table, chairs, barbecue and shaded area. Off road car park.
General:	We are on-site all the time, to help you enjoy and get the most out of your stay.
Suitability:	Everyone. Young and old, couples and families.

"A chapel and fountain built by the Romans in a quarry. The stone from the quarry was exported to towns served by the VANNES-CARHAIX Roman Road. Its on the border of Côtes d'Armor and Morbihan. Lots of history to discover. "

"Crepêrie restaurant in the small friendly commune of Mellionnec. Open for traditional " workers" meals every lunchtime. Crêpes every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. French run with a completely bi-lingual waitress at weekends in July and August (our eldest daughter!)"
