Kitchen:	The fully equipped kitchen comes with everything you should need, including dishwasher, fridge, cooker, microwave coffee-maker etc, plus a washing machine for you to use. The large farmhouse dining table seats 8, and we provide a highchair if required for our younger visitors
Living area:	The lounge area is very large, with rustic beams, and thick stone walls always cool in the heat of summer, with a logburner for cosy winter evenings. It has plenty of armchairs and sofas, and there is English satellite tv, and free wi-fi internet connection
Bedrooms:	There are 4 bedrooms, a large double room on the ground floor, with patio doors to the courtyard, plus on the first floor another double room, plus 2 twin rooms, all with electric heating. Each room is full of the character you would expect for a building built in the 19th century, oak beams, exposed stone walls, and old varnished floor boards
Bathrooms:	The family bathroom has a hydro-massage shower unit and is on the first floor
Entertainment on-site:	We provide English satellite tv, cd player, books and games in the lounge, plus free wi-fi connection. In a separate gamesroom, there is a table tennis table and full size American pool table
Garden and outside:	The large sunny garden enjoys stunning views down the valley to the little village of St Martin des Besaces, with the church steeple nestling in between the patchwork of little fields that make up this part of France. It has a private above ground swimming pool, and a patio area with tables and chairs, and a lawned area for you to enjoy a glass of wine whilst the kids play in the pool. The gite is on our 8 acre estate, and you are welcome to feed our pigs and chickens, and make friends with the sheep, dogs and cats that we keep, or play football in the field
Parking and garaging:	There is plenty of parking for 3 plus cars outside the gite, and storage areas for roof boxes or trailers
Suitability:	This is a family friendly gite which also welcomes couples and all adult groups
General:	The Owl Barn is only a short drive from safe sandy beaches, and numerous family attractions and days out. The English owners live close by on-site, and will be happy to book days out for you, ranging from horse riding to canoeing on the River Vire, bungee jumping or even a balloon ride! There are several local markets, and the list of restaurants to enjoy the local fare seems endless. The owners have 4 children, so can give all the help and advice you need to enjoy your stay, and see all the historic sites, from the D-day beaches to the Bayeux tapestry, and the stunning Mont St Michel
