Newly converted, Magnolia Cottage is bright and airy with all rooms overlooking the alarmed, private pool and garden. Kiwi and grapevines climb the charentaise stone walls allowing you to pick your own fruit whilst lazing on the terrace with a good book and a glass of Pineau.

On the level (except for a small step into the property and another into the bathroom), Magnolia Cottage is suitable for all ages and abilities (there is even a small fence to put up if desired, around the terrace area for peace of mind for parents of  toddlers).

As the owners of Magnolia Cottage live close by there is always help at hand and a dog sitting service is available for those of you wishing to bring along your beloved pets.

The location of Magnolia Cottage is perfect if you want the peace and quiet of the countryside but don't want to feel isolated. The village of Leoville is a relatively short walk away where you can indulge in fabulous cakes and tarts from the boulangerie and just around the corner there is a butchers/mini market where you can purchase all of those necessities as well as something for the barbecue.

Also in the village is an 'aire'. Here you will find picnic areas, small childrens play park, a small lake, tennis and petanque courts.

Perfection!

What to See and Do

Owners Recommendations

Eating Out

'Jonzac Casino'
"A great place to visit if you fancy a bit of entertainment, a few tipples and a nice meal. A great adult evening out."

'Oyster Tasting, La Tremblade'
"Love them or hate them oysters are something everyone should try - even if it's only for the aphrodisiac properties they have! La Tremblade is full of oyster beds so you can see where they come from and then revel in their saltiness from one of the local suppliers. "

Local Area and Activities

'Cognac Tasting'
"The town of Cognac is well worth a visit with the opportunity to really get the tastebuds going at the local distilleries. Cognac tasting is in abundance here."

'Les Antilles, Jonzac'
"As part of the newly developed leisure park in Jonzac, this is a great place to bring the kids. The pool complex isn't too big but it has everything on offer including an outdoor beach area which is part of the interior pool area - cool!"

'Les Thermes, Jonzac'
"Fancy a bit of pampering? Well, this is the place to go for some massage, relaxation and thermal baths. Wonderful!"

'Pineau Tasting and Tour, Clion'
"Pierre Gaillard et Sons are a family run business which has been producing some of the best regional pineau you will taste. It's a small affair with the personal touch. A really lovely family-run business."

"A fantastic town full of history, beautiful architecture and museums, Rochefort is a mindfilling place to visit."

'Zoo de-La Palmyre'
"A great family day out and the Alpaca's are gorgeous!"
