MANCHE HOLIDAY TRAVEL GUIDE

Manche is French for the ‘English Channel’ which surrounds its shores and it is here arrivals at the busy port of Cherbourg get their first taste of Normandy and France.

Feast on Manche’s wonderful mussels, oysters and crepes. Stunning World Heritage Site, Mont St Michel rising from its rocky pinnacle is a ‘must’.

The lamb grazed on the surrounding salt marshes a celebrated Normandy delicacy. Inland, Coutances is famous for its cheese and fine cathedral. Remember D-day at the Utah Beach museum.
