This lovely gite is part of a traditional 17th century stone house in a small rural village called Charme, nestled amid the Charentais rolling hills. The village has a boulangerie, and the local towns, Ruffec and Aigre (11km in either direction) have cafés, restaurants, markets and other shops.

The gite has a bedroom, en suite shower room, large living area with fully equipped kitchen and its own terrace with table and chairs.

The swimming pool, bbq and garden are shared with the owner.

The area offers excellent walking and cycling, as well as many sites of cultural and historical interest. Non smokers only.

"Visit the market on a Wednesday or Saturday morning (incl small livestock twice a month). Buy some local goats cheese, and the local "tomme" cheese. Also a superb range of fresh fish is available, some of it still wriggling. "
