Western Loire Fishing Holidays

The Western Loire region has many opportunities for the fishing enthusiast. Sea fishing along the Loire Atlantique coast, either from the shore or on an organised boat trip. Depending on the season, mackerel, sole, turbot, red mullet, skate, bass and conger eel are just some of the sea fish found in this area. One of the region's lakes, Lac de Rille, has 260 hectares of water where large carp and catfish can be caught, along with pike, perch, black bass, roach and tench. Apremont Lake is a good place for bream, perch, roach, zander, pike and catfish. The River Loire and other rivers in the region have many different species for all types of fishing.
