The area is steeped in Breton history; for example the forest at Paimpont offers Arthurian legend, whilst the pre-historic stones of Carnac draw many visitors each year. There are plenty of good local restaurants and further afield Vannes, St Brieuc, Rennes (all one hour) and Nantes (2 hours) offer interesting days out.
