The house with fenced, heated pool (10 x 5 x 1.5-2m depth) is set in its own grounds in a rural environment in the picturesque Dronne Valley between Riberac and Perigueux. Riberac, 15km has excellent weekly market and wide selection of shops and restaurants. Perigueux 25km to centre, the capital of the Perigord, has a lovely medieval town centre with narrow cobbled streets, a Roman tower and distinctive cathedral, as well as a range of shops, restaurants, cinema, theatre (birth place of Marcel Marceau) and summer "Son et Lumiere"

The "Maison Bourgeoise" a former farmhouse is set on the edge of a small hamlet. The house overlooks pastureland where cattle and calves graze. The large grass garden with badminton facilities, a shady awning for outdoor dining, garden furniture, 2 bbqs, steps to fenced large swimming pool. The only neighbouring house backs onto the garden but does not overlook.

Ground floor. Pleasant interior furnished with some period pieces. Sitting/dining room with dining suite, sofas and armchairs. Fitted kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, cooker, fridge-freezer, table and chairs seating 10. Bathroom with bath/shower, wc, washing machine, drier/airer. Additional separate wc with washbasin.

First floor. Four double bedrooms, one with queen-size bed, 3 with two singles each plus cot and babygates. Gas heaters and electric heaters. An ample supply of duvets, blankets and pillows is provided together with all linen which is inclusive. Cleaning service and maintenance of lawns and swimming pool are also inclusive. Telephone for incoming and emergency calls.

The village of Tocane St Apre is 13 minutes walk past campsite 1.5km, with tennis and canoeing facilities. The supermarket outside the village offering, in addition, fresh fish, freshly baked bread, meat and wines. Lac de Jemaye 25km for further swimming, playground for children, windsurfing and picnics. Other activities in the area include horse riding, tennis, cycling and walking.

Drive from Cherbourg or Caen or fly from Bordeaux Airport 80km or Bergerac Airport with 2 budget airlines.

Kitchen: Large with table seating 8 to10 people. Newly fitted kitchen with electric cooker/gas hob, electric fridge, worktop and sink unit, dishwasher and microwave. (We particularly request that the DISHWASHER IS USED WITH MODERATION and (ONLY WHEN FULL). We have recently installed a water filter system throughout the house.
Dining: Period table and buffet seat 8
Living area: With French buffet, table and chairs and lounge furniture.
Entertainment on-site: Tv, cd/radio, video, games
Outside: The swimming pool 10 x 5m heated in the spring and autumn and maintained by Ahmed who is also responsible for the lawns and general house maintenance. Security fencing has been installed around the pool. There is a bbq and garden furniture under the awning. Badminton on the top lawn.
