The lovely Breton village of Plomodiern is situated on the Bay of Douarnenez approx 4km from beautiful safe sandy beach. Watersports, sailing, cycle hire, fishing and horse riding are all nearby. Bordering the Parc d' Armorique it is a good choice for walking and cycling enthusiasts. The house is ideally suited for families sharing or clubs with interests in outdoor pursuits as the property is very spacious. We prefer bookings from Saturday to Saturday but can be flexible out of season, please contact us for details.
Ground floor. The kitchen is modern with fridge, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, breakfasting area with table and chairs. Separate dining room with seating for 12. Large comfortable lounge overlooking courtyard. Longère/playroom with utility area including sink, washing machine and tumbledrier, also pool table and table football. Door to enclosed courtyard ideal for barbecues with patio furniture. Central heating.
First floor . Master bedroom with en suite shower, basin and wc, 2 double bedrooms, 1 triple room (3 single beds), 1 bunk bedroom. Bathroom with shower cubicle, traditional French tub, toilet, wash basin and bidet, further separate wc. Two cots (no linen), highchair, pushchair and stairgates provided, hire of bed linen £5 per person, no towels. After stay cleaning included in price.

| Location and activities: | Ideally situated 4km from the nearest sandy beach on the Bay of Douarnenez, watersports, sailing, sand yatching, horse riding, golf, tennis are all available nearby. The area is well situated for walking/cycling as the house borders the Parc d'Amorique and the coastal path is easily accessible. Sea and coarse fishing (licence available in Chateaulin) are nearby. There are a variety of museums to visit, Breiz Park with paintballing and accrobranches can be found near Morgat. Quimper is an interesting town having a large market Wednesday and Saturday morning, cosmopolitan shops, quirky buildings, cathedral and museum to name but a few. Locronan (approx. 10 mins) is a medieval town, home to lots of Breton pixies and a resident glass blower. The festival of Menez Hom is held 13th, 14th & 15th August in Plomodiern where you can get a real taste of the Breton culture, 100's of people in traditional costume, bands and much merry-making! |

| General: | We have put a lot of thought into making our holiday home as attractive and comfortable as possible for our guests; the house is equipped to a very high standard. All the rooms are spacious and an added bonus is the longere which is a great space for young children to play safely and a good chill-out area for teenagers. It has the benefit of double doors to the side of the house and is opposite the designated parking area making it easier for loading/unloading your vehicle. Plomodiern has everything for your daily needs all within walking distance, a small open air market on Friday morning with local produce is worth having a browse. There is a tourist information office in the church square which has all the info you require regarding places to visit and local events. The locals are very friendly and helpful. We have been left very positive feed-back regarding the house and surrounding area, with its stunning coast and pretty countryside. It is an ideal holiday location. |
