What to See and Do

Owners Recommendations

'Places of interest'
"The regional capital of Ille et Vilaine, Rennes is approximately 45 mins drive. The ancient town of Dinan is a similar distance. The château and zoo at Bourbonsais in on the road to Rennes about 30 mins away."

'St Malo'
"The historic town of St Malo is just 2km around the bay. Within the ramparts you will find many restaurants and shops. Several excursions round the bay by boat and up the River Rance start from the marina just outside the ramparts. Also day trips to Jersey and Guernsey. There is a marvellous new aquarium on the outskirts of St Malo."

'Village of Rotheneuf'
"A most beautiful natural tidal inlet lies on the edge of the village for safe bathing and sailing. Rotheneuf is the birthpace of Jacques Cartier, his home is now a museum which is worth visiting. Take the headland walk - signposted with red and white painted marks on rocks etc - to the village for magnificent views along the coast and stop at the strange sculptures carved by a hermit monk about a hundred years ago. The shops are suitable for day to day needs. The headland walk continues from St Malo to Cancale (approximately 10 miles). Bicycles can be rented at nearby Rochebonne."
