Le Laurier, Haut Montlouvier in Louvigne du Desert consists of 2 converted traditional stone French farmhouses and outbuildings. The houses occupy nearly half a hectare of garden and woodlands in the midst of the beautiful Brittany countryside. The property is approximately 250m off the main road running through the village of Louvigne du Desert. You will be only 5 mins walk from a Champion Supermarket and 10 mins from the centre of the village. The village has a good selection of shops, several bars, two restaurants a bank and a church.

One first floor en suite double room with an additional single bed. Downstairs a large lounge with log burner, digital tv, dvd player and stereo sound system. A fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker and fridge-freezer. A second en suite double room with two single beds and a third small bedroom with bunk beds. At the front of the house is large conservatory with dining table settee and easy chairs.

The Cottage
One first floor double room with room for an additional single bed or cot. Downstairs there is a lounge/dining room with log burner, digital tv, dvd player and stereo sound system. There is a bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker and fridge-freezer. In an annexe to the house there is another double bedroom with en suite shower and toilet.

Separate Annexe with double bed, en suite bathroom, complete with washbasin, toilet and shower.

Heating for both houses is by a combination of a wood burning stove and electric heaters.

In a separate outhouse there is a washing machine and tumble dryer for use by both houses.

The houses are available to be let either together or separately and are ideal for two families. There are separate entrances and parking for at least 3 cars.

The garden is fully enclosed and is approximately 40m wide and 80m deep. At the back of the garden there is an extensive wooded area which you are free to explore with several seating areas if you feel the need to escape.

Louvigne du Desert is ideally located to access the Brittany Coast, Normandy Beaches and the delights of Normandy and Brittany. Watersports nearby. St Hilaire du Harcouet is 7-10 mins drive due North and Fougeres 15 min drive due south. Both towns have a wide selection of restaurants and shops and an extensive market once a week. Golf, fishing and horse riding nearby.

You will be 30-40 mins drive from Mont St Michel, 30 mins from Avranches and the beaches of the west coast of the Cherbourg peninsula. St Malo and the delights of Concale with its fabulous fish restaurants are only 1 hour away through beautiful countryside. Caen and the Normandy landings beaches are only 1-1.5 hrs away.

Easy access from the ferry ports of Caen (1.15 – 1.30 hrs), Cherbourg (2-2.15 hrs), St Malo (1-1.15 hrs).

From Caen A84 to Avranches then at J33 D976 to Ducey and St Hilaire du Harcouet then D177 to Louvigne du Desert. Travel time from J33 30 mins.

From Cherbourg N13 and N174 to St Lo and A84, then as above.

From St Malo N137 then N176 towards Pontorson/Avranches. At Pontorson follow signs to St James and the D14 to Louvigne du Desert. Then D177 to St Hilaire du Harcouet.
