Located in the beautiful countryside of the Blavet Valley, La Metairie is within easy reach of medieval towns and the lovely beaches of the Morbihan coast. There are shops, bars and also beautiful riverside restaurants where one can relax and savour the local wines whilst watching the boats on the River Blavet amble by.

La Metairie is situated approximately 14km south of Pontivy. St Goustan is the local historic port that, during the summer, offers a lively atmosphere amongst its art galleries and seafood restaurants. The towpaths along the river are an ideal starting point for walking and cycling and golf, horse riding, fishing and canoeing are also available locally.

Excellent shopping facilities are within easy reach; Baud is 12km (15 mins by car) away and offers all the usual provisions and takeaways. The coast is approximately a 30km drive with the safe and sandy beaches of Carnac, La Trinite-sur-Mer and Locmariaquer. For those feeling  more adventurous, the islands in the delightful Gulf of Morbihan can easily be reached by ferry boat from the small port of Quiberon. There is also Lake Guerledan offering watersports, leisure cruises and picnic areas.

La Metairie offers 3 charming gites attached to the main farm house that are all tastefully and comfortably furnished, allowing couples to enjoy peace and tranquillity in lovely surroundings. The gardens extend to over 3 acres and consist of lawns and woodland which leads to a small river.

La Metairie also offers an on-site treatment room for holistic therapies which is an ideal to unwind during your holiday.

THE COACH HOUSE This gite is on the ground floor with an open plan layout. The style is very romantic with a king size 4-poster bed and lovely painted furniture. The kitchen area looks out over the garden. This accommodation would be suitable for anyone with a minor disability but the shower room is not wheelchair accessible

GALLERY The Gallery is accessed by a small wooden staircase with balcony for dining and is above the Coach House. It benefits from a separate kitchen and is furnished with bistro table and chairs, double French style tapestry bed and oriental lacquered furniture.

CHERRIES This is one of our most popular gites with accommodation arranged over 2 floors.  The charming bedroom is nicely furnished with double bed, dressing table, bedside cabinets and wardrobe whilst downstairs, there a combined kitchen/living area and a shower room. Cherries also has a small outside dining area. We do accept pets in Cherries provided they are not allowed on the furniture and kept on leads whilst in the grounds.  However, there is an additional charge of £50 per pet per week plus £200 security deposit.

All the gites overlook the orchard with its selection of seasonal fruits such as apples, pears, peaches and plums. There is garden furniture and a barbecue for our guests to enjoy during the long, warm summer evenings.

We provide on-site laundry facilities for guests as well as a good selection of books, games, cds and dvds. The gites do not have television but there is a small set that can be borrowed to play dvds if required.
