St-Jeannet, an unspoiled picturesque Provençal village in the Alpes Maritimes, situated 10km from the sea, near to the old Roman city of Vence with its fine cathedral, street markets, restaurants, art galleries and municipal outdoor swimming pool with supervised pool for children. It is a short drive from Nice. Perched at the foot of the famous Baou mountain, it is well known to climbers (altitude 434m at the village, 807m at the top of the Baou). The local history can be discovered when walking through the streets of this medieval village and visiting the 11th and 13th century chapels and its 17th century church.
The area has many associations with famous artists and writers and numerous galleries and museums are within a short drive. These include the popular tourist attractions at St Paul-de-Vence, Gourdon and the perfume factories at Grasse. The surrounding countryside is ideal for walking, climbing and picnics, while services, shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
The Top Apartment has a spacious terraced garden with an unobstructed panorama of the Mediterranean coast. Large kitchen/living room with sofabed. Double bedroom, bathroom and mezzanine bedroom. Modern kitchen. Shower/wc. Electric radiators and log fireplace
The Lower Apartment has a living room/kitchen with double sofabed, first floor double bedroom and bathroom with toilet and shower. A washing machine is available in a separate “cave” shared with the Top Apartment. All windows overlook the Mediterranean coast. There is no garden, but a few steps away is a small public garden used by neighbours for open-air relaxation, visitors are welcome and the views are unique.
