'French Market Experience'
"Enjoy trying out your French at your local markets (both antique and fresh produce). Bourgueil Tuesday Chinon Thursday Saumur Saturday Montsoreau Sunday. All are recommended. Flea markets held at Montsoreau 1st Sunday in the month, and Chinon 2nd Sunday in the month. Some good bargains to be had."

"Sample one of the many excellent restaurants in and around Saumur and Chinon, or one of the "Auberges" found locally, all offering extremely good value cuisine. More specific recommendations from previous guests are available in the "Tarauderie" visitors book."
'Wines of the Loire'
"Try before you buy! Sample the delightful red and rosé wines at any one of the many "degustations" down the road at St-Nicolas and Bourgueil. Other regional wines include Muscadet, Anjou, Touraine, Chinon, Vouvray, Pouilly Fume, Sancerre, Saumur Champigny and Saumur "sparkling" brut."
