Le Chant d'Oiseau is a collection of 3 beautifully renovated
gites set in stunning countryside in the sleepy northern reaches of the Loire
Valley, close to Saumur. We cater specifically for families, and disabled
travellers. Out of season short breaks are welcomed and we're open all year round. Le
Chant d'Oiseau is unique in that we operate a very small campsite here too, just
10 pitches, arranged around the outside of our 2 acre gardens. The dynamic
created by having both gites and camping guests makes for a wonderful
'community' atmosphere, which we encourage with twice-weekly table d'hôtes,
wine-tastings and pizza and fouée afternoons cooked in our own bread oven! We have lots to
do in the area as well as on-site. Chateaux, vineyards, wine trails,
museums, canoe/kayaking, horse riding, fishing, walking, cycling - it's all here. On-site
we have pool table, splash pool, badminton, play area, boules ping-pong plus
lots more! There's free wi-fi connection if you need it, and plenty of books in
our library. Many of our guests tell us that they usually make a point of not
visiting a holiday destination twice, but they make an exception for us!
We
work hard at what we do to provide all of our guests with a relaxing and
friendly environment, because we know how much your holiday means to you. A
