La Brosse is a traditional 17th century longhouse in the Loire valley, suitable for a large family gathering or a smaller, romantic break; as a base to explore the treasures of the Rivers Loire and Loir, or just somewhere to relax. It is a short drive from a large modern supermarket but is in rolling countryside with walks and bike rides and is very private - not shared and no 'owner next door'!
It has many character features, including huge beams, stonework and bread-oven, but has been completely refitted in a simple, uncluttered style with new beds and kitchen, including dishwasher, fridge, deep-freeze and washing machine. Log fire. Hd satellite, UK tv.
We have many repeat bookings each year, even at Christmas, and have glowing testimonials on our website.

Owners Recommendations
'Shopping for everyone'
"Small town markets, or easy parking and small shops (Saumur), big city shops (Le Mans) and Tours which is said to be second only to Paris and has a superb old quarter. Don't forget the world-quality wine-tasting (try the Saumur bubblies!)"
'World Heritage Site'
"Within an easy days outing are most of the most famous chateau of the Loire and the incredible must-see abbey of Fontevreaux (tombs of Richard Lionheart and King John)"
