3 Gites (NM002340) - St Brice-en-Coglès

Our gites on the Brittany/Normandy border are set in 2 acres of lawned gardens with a large heated swimming pool, only a 45 minute drive from the St Malo beaches. Situated in the heart of the countryside, in the peaceful hamlet of La Haute Mancelière, the cottages are part of a 17th century Breton longhouse which has been tastefully converted retaining many of the traditional features, such as exposed beams and stone walls.

Les Chouettes - a magnificent, spacious 18th century farmhouse named after the barn owls which nest every year at La Haute Mancelière, the original farmhouse is a large, comfortable six bedroomed house with exposed beams which sleeps 12 people. Ground floor. One double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, Bathroom with bath and shower (also separate wc). Facilities include large fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, tv (English and French), dvd, vcr and wi-fi internet access. Wood burning stove in the salon and solid fuel central heating. First floor. Two double bedrooms (one with en suite shower room), a twin bedroom, a bunk bed room and a separate shower room and wc. Outside there is a large private terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, looking out over the garden.

Les Alouettes - a delightful rustic, spacious 3 bedroom cottagewith exposed beams, which sleeps 6 to 8 people. Ideal for a family plus grandparents! Ground floor. One double bedroom, bathroom, with bath and separate shower, plus a separate wc located on the ground floor. Fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, tv (English and French), dvd, vcr, wi-fi internet access. Open fire and electric radiators. First floor. One double bedroom, plus a large bedroom with 2 single beds and bunk beds. Shower room/wc. Outside there is a private terrace and dining area, complete with wooden garden furniture and barbecue.

Les Hirondelles - a charming 17th century cottage. The oldest of the three cottages, this 2 bedroomed property has many original features including a spiral staircase, open stone walls and exposed oak beams. It sleeps 4 and is ideal for a young family, with a large double bedroom and a second smaller bedroom with bunk beds. Shower, toilet, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, tv (English and French), dvd, vcr, wi-fi internet access. Electric radiators. Outside there is a private terrace and dining area, complete with wooden garden furniture, parasol and barbecue.

They offer the perfect place for you to explore the region or simply relax in the garden or around the 10 x 5m pool, which is enclosed and heated to 27°c, April - October. In the large 2 acre garden you can play badminton and football, or play boules on our 10 x 4m boules court. There is a play area for children with swings, a slide and a trampoline.
