John and Jane are delighted to present L'Oucherie, a farmhouse renovated to a high standard but retaining its traditional charm set in 10 acres of peaceful countryside. We welcome you to the tranquility and relaxation of this beautiful and unspoilt rural area. Our extremely popular pool house, offering an "al fresco " feel includes swimming pool, hot tub, games area with table tennis and pool table and are available to enjoy at your leisure.
This character property has a large farmhouse kitchen incorporating all modern applicances, open fireplace, leisure/seating area to watch the chefs at work, a separate formal dining room with log burning stove and adjoining large lounge for chilling and watching tv, again with a log burning stove. A mezzanine/study, quiet area with broadband points etc, enabling large families to enjoy their own space. Family room, 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin rooms, 5 toilets, 4 showers and 2 baths.
The farmhouse is surrounded by sunterraces, a sunbather's paradise whatever time of day. A designated covered bbq area, a large grassed childrens play area with swings, slides, sandpits and separate pool house. We have an Orchard where you will find fruit in abundance; apples,cherries, peaches. apricots, apples, pears, walnuts, chestnuts and hazelnuts, if the red squirrels don't get there first, all depending on the season and all for the guests to enjoy. For the nature lovers, we have an abundance of wildlife to capture the most dedicated enthusiast all in our grounds of approximately 10 acres. On occasion, our resident Barn Owl offer a guest appearance at Dusk.
A truly special place, once visited you shall want to return.
LOCATION
We are only an hour away from Dinard Airport or St Malo Port.
Mont St Michel is only 20 minutes away - a medieval mount on a rocky tidal island near Avranche, famous for its architecture and dramatic setting - the wonder of the west. A must visit.
Guys - a wonderful golf course at the sea front, Golf de Granville can be found in the bay of Mont St Michel close to the Channel Islands.
Iles de Chaussey - a short boat trip from Granville. The island is unique in Europe for its beauty.
Avranche - entrusted with a "Literary Legacy" of manuscripts dating from the 9th century incorporating the "Scriptorial", a contemporary museum largely devoted to writing and books with exhibitions and many special activities.
Domfront - a medieval city situated on a hill 2015 metres above sea level giving excellent views across the valley.
Bagnoles - beautifully situated on a small lake and is renowned for 1 of 2 of the best known spas in Western France. The golf course pops up again, sorry girls, but this is a beautiful course.
St Hilaire, our local town is buzzing in the evening and also hosts a local Wednesday market bursting with fresh local produce.
Walking, fishing, tennis, horse riding, children's theme park and stretches of long sandy beaches are also only minutes away.
