Rural setting on a residential leisure complex, with shared swimming pool (open between 15th June and 15th September), and private forest. 10km equidistant from the golden beaches of Châtelaillon Plage, from the ancient arcaded town of La Rochelle and near the stunning islands Ré and Oléron, nature reserve at Yves and the Marais Poitevin centred around Coulon. Easy motorway access to Paris, Cognac, Bordeaux and Futuroscope.
Well maintained and tastefully furnished bungalow with fully fitted kitchen corner equipped with cooker, fridge, washing machine, tumbledryer, microwave, dishwasher etc. Central heating, UK digital satellite tv/video and dvd player. Outside relax on the hedged patio area or on the enclosed lawn to the rear. Array of garden furniture.
Duvet covers, sheets and pillows with cases are provided. The owners are resident in France and only a phone call away should assistance be required.
Golf and tennis opposite. Equestrian centre 0.5km. Activity Centre 0.5km. Shops 1km. In close proximity most sports are catered for.
This is the second sunniest region of France, its micro-climate giving an average 2400 hours of sunshine a year, London has on average only 1500. The ancient arcaded town of La Rochelle combines old style with modern chic. An ancient harbour with wonderful restaurants and then the modern yachting harbour, the largest on the west coast of Europe. An excellent shopping centre with many museums and a fantastic aquarium. Daily indoor markets at La Rochelle and Chatelaillon Plage with various outdoor markets, including a very large one on Sunday mornings. La Rochelle has free cycle hire.
