The Château St-Seurin de Clerbise Estate, dating from the 17th century and set on a wooded estate in the heart of the Charente Maritime countryside, provides an ideal location for walking, cycling, golf, and for families or larger groups to enjoy a self catering holiday

With the Airports of Bordeaux and La Rochelle 90km to the south and north-west respectively, and Saintes and Cognac only 25km to the north and north-east, we are ideally located to explore and enjoy this unique, warm and sunny region of Western France.

Each house has its own private pool, enjoying a high degree of privacy, together with bbq and patio furniture and all have the benefit of linen, house towels, utilities, cots and highchairs included in the rental. Bike hire is available. And, to take some of the "self" out of self catering, we can offer maid, chef and babysitting service throughout. Central heating is available in all houses for low season letting.

The houses can be let separately or together as a unit to provide accommodation from 10 to 38 people.

We are also able to offer Marriage blessings in the unique setting of our 13th century church set within the grounds. Out of season corporate events can also be catered for.

The 17th Century Chateau de Clerbise sleeps 16 + cot (8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms). An impressive château with many original features set in a hectare of lawn and gardens with pool bar, bbq, a range of exercise machines and patio furniture.

Ground floor. Snooker room with full size table. Large salon with doors leading to the terrace. Cd/tape/radio. Large dining room, well equipped kitchen with 2 fridge-freezers, electric and gas ovens, gas hobs, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Twin bedroom with en suite and a further shower room/wc.  Internet connection.

First floor. Four double bedrooms, 2 en suite, 3 twins, 1 en suite with a further shower room and family bathroom.

LES ETABLES  (See also Ref: PM001976A).  Sleeps 12 + cot (6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms). This house has been renovated to a high standard from the original stables and grooms quarters of the Clerbise Estate. It is set within half a hectare of lawn and trees.

Ground floor. Lounge with cd/tape/radio and open fireplace, dining room with doors to the pool and garden, well equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher. A utility room with further fridge-freezer and washing machine. Two twin bedrooms, a bathroom and separate wc. A shower bathroom in the separate wing.

First floor. Two large double bedrooms both en suite. Stairs to separate wing of 2 twin bedrooms.

LE DOMAINE  (See also Ref: PM001976B). Sleeps 10 + cot (5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms). The house, which originally housed the wine and cognac production for the Estate has been converted together with the gamekeepers tower to a high standard to form a fine holiday home. A covered area beneath the tower forms a shady spot adjoining the pool. Over half a hectare of lawn and trees provides a safe area for children to play.

Ground floor. A unique space containing the original grape pressing floor and extending to the roof now renovated to a large open plan lounge and dining area. The modern kitchen is well equipped with fridge-freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher. An adjoining utility room has a further fridge-freezer and washing machine. Double bedroom and a twin bedroom, together with a bathroom and separate wc.

First floor. Two twin bedrooms with a bathroom and separate wc. A further staircase to a mezzanine with double bedroom and separate shower bathroom.
