The large sitting room has the original fireplace, 2 generous sofas and armchairs and tv/video/Sky. There is a wooden staircase leading to a quiet gallery area with sofa. One twin bedroom opens onto the gardens. There are another 2 twin/double bedrooms, one of them with en suite shower room, wc. Family bathroom with bath and separate shower.

There is a master bedroom with double bed and single bed with en suite shower and wc.

Accommodation. The Cottage has a large open plan split level room with well equipped kitchen (washing machine, dishwasher, gas cooker, microwave, large fridge and freezer). The dining area has a table and 4 chairs, cd/radio/tape. The lounge area has large sofa and 2 chairs, tv, video and Sky. There is a double bedroom which opens onto the terrace, and a twin bedroom. Both bedrooms link into a shared bathroom with bath/shower and wc.

Both properties are in 3 acres of lovely gardens with pool and both have outdoor dining terraces and barbecues. Highchairs, booster seats, changing mats, a cot and stairgate are available on request.

"There is fantastic golf club and course together with spa facilities at Château Vigier, 40 minutes drive There is a championship golf course in Bordeaux and there are a number of smaller golf courses nearer the house. There is an excellent beauty spa for anyone planning a girls only trip or a relaxing day with a mixed group of friends, at Hotel Barriel, in St Emilion. They serve fabulous food too."

'Le Lac de Gurson'
"A fabulous fresh water lake, for picnics, water toboganning, boats, crazy golf, riding, sandy beaches, fishing and restaurants. All this within 5 minutes drive from the house. It is possible for children and adults, of all ages to cycle from the house in 15 - 20 minutes. There is also a childrens play area on the sandy beach. We visit often in the early evening and have chips and drinks at the bar and watch the children swimming as the daylight disappears. There are lifeguards at busy times in the height of summer."

'St Emilion'
"This town, world famous for its fine regional wines, is absolutely stunning. It is a must for all visitors to the area. There are a number of excellent restaurants, outdoor and indoor, hotels with excellent spa facilities but the most lovely thing of all about St Emilion is just enjoying the ambience. A truly stunning experience and I do not know anyone that has not wanted to go again."

"On Saturday mornings, throughout the year, St-Foy- la-Grande is famous for its markets. You can buy literally anything local. It is always busy and you need to arrive early because it is always very busy during the summer months. Finishes at 12.00 noon"
