"If you like markets, there are a wonderful variety - Tuesday mornings at Valence d'Agen has the most incredible market covering 3 squares selling everything from local fresh produce (wonderful peaches, nectarines, cherries melons etc) according to the season, household goods and fashion! Saturday is market day at Montaigu de Quercy again with a wide variety of fresh produce, cheeses flowers etc "

"Both Beauville and St Maurin each have an excellent restaurant where you can sample the delights of the regional cuisine. There are also others which are quite special and only a 20 min drive away, such as Penne d'Agenais which is also a fascinating place to explore with incredible views over the River Lot!"
