Attractive large holiday home for romantic B&B or self catering apartments all within the chateau. The beautiful grounds include lovely gardens to sit in, children's playground (with sandpit, swings, wooden cabin and outdoor table-tennis), a large field for ball games, and animals in paddocks (donkeys, pony, horses) for the children to see.

Very suitable for short breaks/shopping, as the ferry port of Cherbourg is only 15 minutes away! But also a great place for a holiday in one of our comfortable apartments.

The chateau itself is a manor house, rebuilt in the 16th century, with original features from the 12th century. Chateau Le Val is situated in the heart of the countryside just outside the village of Brix. Only 10 miles from Cherbourg. La Manche has 200 miles of cliffs, bays and beautiful beaches. Superb location for visiting Mont St Michel, the D-day beaches and the Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg as well as the charming towns of Bricquebec, Bayeux and Coutances. There are many activities to be found in the surrounding area including horse riding, golf, tennis, walking, cycling, many watersports and sand yachting on the long sandy beaches.

Self Catering

Within the Chateau are several apartments catering for 2-8 people, which can be let separately. Weekly lets are normally Saturday to Saturday but, in low season, arrival and departure days can be varied to meet your requirements, and rental per night is possible. The apartments are stylishly furnished and well equipped with cosy living room, 1-3 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. All apartments have central heating and some have a log fire too.

B&B

We also offer B&B in both double and family rooms, elegant with lovely views. Each bedroom is en suite. Breakfast service is optional. Served in lovely medieval dining room.

Rental of whole chateau

Ideal for special occasions or a family holiday, rent the whole chateau for weekly lets in high season or for short breaks. There are 13 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms and 5 kitchens. The main one with cooking facilities for groups is situated next to the dining room. Please ask for details.

Enjoy the lovely dining room where you can dine by candlelight. We also offer a wing of the château with private dining room for smaller groups.
