'Avranches'
"The Mont St Michel Manuscripts are now housed in a new museum in Avranches. Lots of history to take in, and an ideal place to go if the weather is not so good. Avranches has some nice shops too. And the Jardin des Plants offers a fantastic panorama of the Bay of Mont St Michel."

'Beaches'
"Although we are situated in the countryside, a 35-45 minute drive will take you to St Jean-le-Thomas (a rugged beach with horse riding available), Carolles-Plage and Jullouville (a more traditional beach resort and very popular with the locals). There are seaside shops and bars here too."

'Dinan'
"A stunning medieval town with the narrowest streets and a beautiful view of the river below, with lots of places to eat along the banks, and boat trips offered too."
