Languedoc Roussillon sports many horse riding routes. For anyone who enjoys both horse riding and history, then taking to the saddle and following the Cathar Trail will be sheer delight. This trail takes you past 2 Cathar castle ruins as it meanders through the Pyrenean foothills. For even more dramatic scenery, then try the Circuit de Traboucagres which takes you on a route through the Pyrenees and across into Spain.
