Many towns with immense charm and historic character are within easy travelling distance, the walled coastal medieval city of Concarneau, the lovely old village of Locronan and the artists favourite spot on the river mouth at Pont-L'Abbe. For music lovers in mid July there is the second largest music festival in France, once again within easy walking distance that attract such well known bands as the Kaiser Chiefs, REM, Kasabian and Brian Ferry to name just a few.

You will be welcomed by your English caretaker on your arrival to advise you on the property and to also answer any questions that you may have on the immediate locality or any further questions that you may have to ensure your stay is a happy one.

2 Gites (BM002759) - La Roche Bernard

Traditional converted 'Longere' with open beams and some traditional furniture. Above the River Villaine in quiet rural surroundings among trees and dairy pasture ¼ mile uphill from the restaurant and marina at Port Foleux, Beganne - an excellent starting point for walkers and cyclists to explore local trails. Maybe you'll come across one of the area's ancient chapels or calvaries.

Just a 2 minute walk to village shop and creperie. The beautiful south coast beaches of Lorient are just 30 mins drive away. If you like the beaches of Cornwall then you'll love Brittany.

The picturesque village of Kernascleden offers a friendly welcome. Its peaceful setting will help you relax and unwind. The local shop and Creperie are just around the corner

1 Cottage (BM002786) - Pontivy

Ty Griffett is our own beautifully renovated longère holiday home, which we let out when the family are not using it. Set in an acre of garden, the property has a heated pool, internet access, 3 double bedrooms and an extremely well equipped kitchen with range cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave/grill/oven, dishwasher, washing machine and iron. The lounge, kitchen and dining area are open plan, with the lounge having a double height vaulted ceiling. The mezzanine has a tv, PlayStation2 and a large selection of dvds and books. There are 3 large stunning double bedrooms, 2 doubles, 1 twin. The upstairs master bedroom has its own en suite. Downstairs are the twin and double plus the family bathroom with modern fittings.

The cottage has 3 guest bedrooms. A close neighbour acts as the local manager to welcome guests and will be on hand in case of any difficulties or to provide advice. There are 2 guest double bedrooms (one downstairs) plus one guest twin bedroom. There is a cot bed available for a baby or a toddler which is usually located in the owner's bedroom to provide a quiet environment for the baby/toddler.

This large farmhouse, built in 1692, is set in half an acre of garden, with patio to the front and parking for 4 cars to the rear. The gite is attached to the owner's home though completely independent with its own private garden. The garden overlooks fields, with a bridle path. Although within the village boundary the house is secluded and surrounded by its own grounds of about 1 acre. Its a 2 minute walk into the middle of the village to pick up a fresh baguette in the mini market.

1 Mill (BM002933) - Pontivy

A former 17th century watermill, set in 3 acres of landscaped gardens nestled within the heart of the Blavet Valley, famous for it's walks, wildlife, rivers with excellent fishing, golf courses and quaint country character villages.

The Mill was completely renovated in 2009 and has now been converted to a 4 bedroomed/2 bathroom gite. Two of the bedrooms contain double beds, the other 2 contain twin beds. The mill still retains its original mill stones which make up part of the kitchen floor. The original rafters have also been retained throughout the property. As you walk into the mill to your left down a handmade oak staircase, you will find a well equipped kitchen, with larder fridge, washing machine, a gas cooker, coffee percolator, kettle and toaster. A lounge/diner is situated on the upper level and contains a wood burning stove, a Breton oak dining table which comfortably seats 8 people, 2 sofas and a window seat which overlooks the mill stream and landscaped gardens. Sometimes late in the evening you may get to spot some of the local wildlife that regularly visit - deer, foxes polecats and minx are to name but a few.

Brécéhan is situated a mile and a half outside the picturesque town of Rochefort en Terre, (Petite Cités de Caractère and Ville Fleurie highest category) with its chateau, 12th century church, restaurants, antique and artisanal shops and near to the market towns of Malestroit and Questembert.

Vannes and the Golfe of Morbihan with its myriad islands and inlets is around half an hour away as are some of the finest beaches on Brittany's south coast and the sailing centres of La Trinité sur mer and le Crouesty.

2 Gites (BM002942) - Geumene-sur-Scorff

In the spacious grounds of Kergario there are lawned areas for relaxing and playing games. There is a trampoline, swings, slide, table tennis, badminton/volley ball and swing ball.

Outside each gite is atable and chairs, unbrella and barbecue.
