The house is situated across the road from the River Doustre, just opposite the bridge and the château in the middle of the delightful little village of St Bazile de la Roche. The river is a premier trout river open for fishing from the 8th of March to the 18th of September and this is an ideal base for fishermen. Argentat is only 10 minutes away, where you can eat at the Hotel Fouillade or on the quai overlooking the Dordogne River. Use the super water complex 'le splash' with shutes. Tennis, canoe hire. Riding stables etc. There are also supermarkets, banks, tourist information office, Post Office etc.
