You will experience utter peace and quiet with nothing to disturb you but the owls hooting at night time. Just a fifteen minute walk to Bricquebec, our quaint medieval market town. Between the beautiful, unspolit and safe Atlantic Beaches (15 mins drive) and the D-day landing beaches of the English Channel. Our nearest beach is the chic seaside resort of Barnville Carteret with their outstanding restaurants and daily ferry service to Jersey. There are many things to do here in Normandy, a holiday here suits children of all ages! The two gites (one 2 bed and one 3 bed) can be rented singly or together for larger parties. Additionally we offer bed and breakfast. The property is restored to a high standard with particular attention on quality furnishings. We have 9 free range chickens and use organic home-grown or local produce. Our hens browse everywhere; please don't invite them inside, although they will try to join you!

La Grande Yveliniere was built in 1676 in a small hamlet in the beautiful Norman 'Bocage' countryside. The rooms are spacious with ancient wood-beamed ceilings and antique furniture. A 2 acre garden surrounds the house with a further 12 acres of farmland for country walks. The beach is a 20 minute drive away. A tranquil seventeenth century rural manor house the house was built in 1676, and is part of an ancient 'corps de ferme', surrounded by the original barns. The house is just outside the village of Savigny, down a country lane. While offering privacy it is part of a small hamlet and is therefore not isolated. The nearest shops are a short drive away in Belval Gare, or slightly further on in Cerisy-La-Salle, a charming cross country run first thing in the morning if you are in search of croissants. The rooms in the house are spacious, with original wooden-beamed ceilings and casement windows. It is furnished simply with local antiques and period furniture, but is also practical and extremely comfortable.

Just an hours drive from Caen, our cottage in Butte Rouge is set in the beautiful Normandy bocage a mile from ancient Tinchebray which has traditional French shops as well as a supermarket. In quiet location but with lots to see and do, take a guided low tide walk and wade across to Mont St Michel, horse ride on the sands, go for forest walks. Bagnoles de l'Orne has lots of tourist attractions, swimming, boating and a casino. Visits can also be made to Bayeux, the Landing Beaches and Villedieu-les-Poêles.
