Brittany East and North Walking Holidays

The beautiful coastline of North and East Brittany makes for fantastic walking opportunities. From St Malo for example you can follow the Emerald Coastline path through Cancale, famous for its plump, nutty flavoured oysters, on to world renowned Mont St Michel just over the border in Normandy. Truly a walk of discovery. Further west, at Ploumanac'h, you can take to the Sentiers des Douaniers on the Pink Granite Coast to see fabulous wind and sea sculpted pink rock formations. For hungry walkers, there are good selections of restaurants and creperies at the various resorts and villages along the way. Inland, countryside routes such as in the Armorique Regional Natural Park walking through woodlands and over rocks to the 'Devil's Grotto' to see an underground river are sheer delight. Or follow trails along the River Rance and explore some 6 castles en route to the historical town of Dinan.
