Rhone Alps wine route Holidays

The Rhone Alps produce high quality wines from full bodied reds such as Cote Rotie to exquisite white wines such as Viognier. The Cote du Rhone wine route has 3 marked circuits. The Saffron trail follows the Rhone river and goes through vineyards that produce some of the region's most prestigious wines such as Condrieu. The Coral trail takes you through the grottos and gorges of the Ardeche and the Mauve trail winds through fields of lavender and olive trees. The Savoie wine route also has 3 marked circuits, from South of Chambery, which produces Chignin Bergeron and Mondeuse, through the North of Chambery with views of the Lac du Bourget and onto Rousette which produces a wine made from the Altesse grape.
