Brilliant holiday! We were two families with 7 teenagers. No wifi or tv, and the children all survived! The pool is amazing, house has lots of character and very clean. All equipment supplied. Owners were really helpful, and supplied lots of local information.
We had difficulty finding the house but once found it was easy to find again!
Can recommend the local bar/ restaurant. Very friendly and nice food.
We hired canoes and had a fab day on the river. Local supermarkets stock everything.
Lots of fab memories made! Would highly recommend

We have now stayed at this wonderful house twice now and each time has been a sheer delight. The house has six bedrooms and can comfortably house 16 people. The house is incredibly spacious and has an upstairs lounge (with kitchen facilities) as well as a downstairs one. The main kitchen has everything you could possibly want, including microwave and coffee maker. Also, with three toilets/bathrooms there is never any queuing in the morning! The house sits in a very large garden which provides multiple seating areas and is just the perfect place to soak up that Dordogne sun. The swimming pool is perfectly sized and is the place to be when the midday sun gets too hot. The garden also has a large orchard to the front. Just a short walk up the hill from the house is the village of Douzillac where you find La Moneta, a great restaurant and bar with exceptionally friendly owners. Eating here is delicious and cheap. Within a few miles there many more fine restaurants (My personal favourites were Le Rocher des Gourmets and Le relais de Gabillou – both in or near Sourzac a couple kilometres away and both with exceptional menus).
The house is close to all the tourist spots but also slightly off the beaten track, ensuring a peaceful stay. The owner, Christine, is very helpful and is a joy to deal with. There are no negatives to staying here, only positives. A perfect place for a perfect family holiday.
