Have just returned from a week here and was very sad to leave.

Two families holidaying together and we rented both gites. This was the perfect set up for us.

The hosts are brilliant. We were greeted with cake and drinks on arrival, and they hosted a BBQ for the first evening. This was really appreciated after the long drive there, and all the food was lovely. They really can't do enough for you. I have never stayed with a host on site before and was a bit worried, but i had no need to worry. We arrived as guests and left as friends.

The gites are lovely, clean and well equipped. The gardens and pool are also lovely. The pool was most appreciated on the very hot days!

We took our dog with us and he was made as welcome as we were.

Neuvic is very close and a small village, but lovely. Slightly further out is St Astier, with more going on.
A few minutes drive from the gites is a river with activities like segway, electric boats and mini golf. All really reasonably priced. We also did kayaking, again about 5 minutes from the gites.

All in all a fantastic holiday and we will hopefully return.

Owner response

It was really lovely to welcome you here, and i do hope we will see you all again,. We were also included in your holiday, and we felt as if you were family. It was nice for us too. Dave loved having Jasper here, think he would have a dog if we could! Thank you for your kind remarks, it makes it all worthwhile , see you next year?

Good points
Quiet and Peaceful area in rural France

Owner response

If you have read all our reviews and get to this one then you will realise this was a mistake! Eric & Penny are coming back here this year for 2 weeks! They inadvertently pressed the send button, and so we are stuck with this review, even though we, and they have asked for it to be amended. Why not give us a try and perhaps we can get the rating back up with your comments?

Good points
Very nice setting. Spacious house - with ample space for us (2 adults, and 2 teenagers.... in fact room for a 5th person if we had one). Great that the teenagers had their own bathroom - and great that there was a bath for the adults! Very beautiful peaceful countryside. Wonderfully friendly & helpful hosts. Quaint house & grounds. A perfect start to our holiday.

Bad points
Nothing of significance. My son & I did bang our heads on the quaint roof beams! And it would have been fabulous if there was a bigger pool. But these points pale in significance compared to the good points.

Very clean and really loved the personal touch! Cupcakes and BBQ on arrival. Picturesque and vet peaceful. Lots to do in the area!
