|Why this location?||The barn was a complete shell, we had always wanted to renovate a barn. The village was perfect, and the barn sat nicely down a side street which leads to the river. Within meters you are back in the centre of the village yet sat quiet nicely tucked away at the back of the Large Manor House. It had a perfect court yard and opposite in the court yard was the old tabac barn which works well for out door dining, which gave us the ability to take the lunge outside as well with the old chimney which can be used for Bbq or just simply sit at night with your glass of wine watching the fire burn.|

Fantastic Gite, beautifully presented and equipped. The barn and outside space are a brilliant addition with a pool table and BBQ area. Jackie was a very helpful host with lots of great tips about the local area. Daglan is a very pretty and unspoilt Dordogne village with all the amenities you really need. Must do's - canoe the Dordogne, go to the gourmet market on Tuesday night in Buzic, the market in Sarlat (but go early to avoid the traffic queue). The Cantine restaurant in Daglan itself was very good.
All in all a perfect holiday home from home.
La Vielle Grange was a great place to stay - lovely kitchen and living room, . The teenagers especially enjoyed the , pool table, sky tv, wifi and fridge with ice water and ice on tap! Outside the tabac barn was lovely to relax in day or night. The gite is two minutes walk to either the river - great fun to swim or paddle - or the patisserie and mini supermarket. Daglan a very pretty village with a few art galleries, a couple of restaurants, a tennis court and a hat shop! Would highly reccomend both gite and location, Sarlat 20 mins drive, Domme 10 mins drive. We felt the gite was better than the description in the brochure.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We do try our utmost to ensure everything is, as the guest would want it to be.
We hope we can welcome you to stay again in the future should you ever return to the area.
The bottle of wine was extremely nice, thank you very much!
