This gite is part of a pair, dating back to the 15th Century.
It has numerous period features including traditional fireplace with wood burner, stonework, cheshnut flooring and oak beams.
The property is located in a quiet hamlet in the Perigord Regional National Park, giving plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling, with several large swimming lakes nearby, complete with all leisure facilities.
Nearby villages and towns offer traditional French fare, with markets - both day and night, a regular feature in the Summer.

Beautiful lake just a 20 minute drive from La Grange Etable with family friendly sandy beach and activities. Snack bars, walks and free canoes!


We have bikes at La Grange Etable for guests to use. Northern Dordogne is a hidden gem for road cycling - quiet roads and wonderful routes.

Brantome - a great day out

Just a 30 min drive to discover the stunning town on the River with boutique shops, lovely local restaurants and historic Abbey to explore.


Local rivers provide the best canoeing for all the family. Exploring the dordogne through dappled leafy shade and picnicking on the banks is just the best!


Local tracks lead from from La Grange Etable to many routes, mainly through the forest where you can discover the hamlets and lakes of the area.

Night Markets

During the hot summer months local towns and villages host night markets where local producers sell their freshly prepared food for us to enjoy. Tables are set out and everyone eats and drinks together and even dance!!
