Beautiful house with excellent facilities. The owners have thought of everything. We made great use of the heated swimming pool again this year and enjoyed the lovely extensive gardens with rounders. We thoroughly enjoy our stays here and the hospitality is second to none.
The house is always spotlessly clean and the beds and bedding of the best quality to enable a peaceful and comfortable sleep.i thoroughly recommend Acabanes and would like to thank the owners once again for a wonderful holiday experience.
Thank you so much for your very kind words about your holiday experience and we loved having your family to stay again.
Highly recommended. Excellently appointed, well equipped, spacious and very comfortable accommodation. Lovely large garden and pool. Plenty of indoor and outdoor games and a great selection of dvds. The good quality bikes were a great way to explore the beautiful local countryside. A brilliant villa for an extended family holiday and Tracey (the owner) provided excellent support and suggestions before and during our stay.
If you are considering a special meal and wine tasting visit The Naked Vigneron. We were a party of 11 with mixed (and quite challenging) dietary requirements. The really delicious food was accompanied by their own lovely organic wine and all was served in a beautiful courtyard setting. We had a very informative wine tour too. Amanda and David were warm and generous hosts.
A great part of France for a family holiday and we would definitely return.
Thank you so much Lindsay for a super review and we would be delighted for you to return. I have details of more wine experiences that I think you would enjoy also.
how to start, I picked up this Villa from previous reviews that have all been excellent. From the word go Tracey was attentive with prompt communications and excellent suggestions for what to do and how to get useful information.
On arrival the house was spotless and extremely well equipped for both a large group of friend or if you had younger children lots cots single beds etc.Three double rooms have ensuite's and the twin and other double share a large shower room. All week equipped and beds comfortable and loads of towels etc supplied.
We had asked for golf clubs and four sets including a left hand set awaited us and there were 8 bikes of good standard (all hybrid mtb) , for kids a section of smaller bikes and lots of baby /child seats and attachments. The accommodation otherwise has lots of comfortable areas to sit and relax and we never felt that we didn't have space for a quiet chill out.
It is remote in that biggest supermarket is 20k away and local shop for bread and smaller supplies about 6 to 7 k but this is only relevant if you are wishing to have these things on your doorstep.
We had an issue with volume on tv and air lock in gas on BBQ and these were all sorted straight away by Traceys team
Over all a fantastic time and we will be returning again
Thanks Danny for your lovely review and we are delighted that you will be returning!
We stayed at Acabanes for a week for an out of season break on 25 th March to visit family who live locally. The villa is ideal as it has a heated pool, rare in France, log burners in the lounge and dining kitchen and heating in all other rooms. We had average temperatures of 16 degrees as well, so were able to enjoy the extensive outdoor facilities also. House and facilities superb. ideal for visiting markets, restaurants, vineyards for wine tasting and other local attractions.Very close to Chateau Vigiers golf also, I am not a golfer, but it's lovely there for non golfers also with two lovely terraces to enjoy a coffee or glass of wine enjoying the lovely views before enjoying a meal in the Chai or restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Thank you Pat for your lovely review and delighted that you enjoy holidaying at Acabanes when visiting your family.
