I am Kate Brierley. I originally came to France with my late husband in 2004 and we refurbished "The Cottage at Giverny". Unfortunately Trevor died in 2009. I eventually re-married ...Nick in 2014. We live in the main house at Giverny as our permanent home. "The Cottage" and gardens are equipped and maintained by ourselves to the highest standards, as it is our home and we wish our guests to enjoy this wonderful place as much as we do.
|Year property purchased||2004|
|Why this location?||We walked through the gates, past the old barns and the view that we saw sold us the property. It is a peaceful , private, tranquil location in a very small friendly hamlet of Les Chauses but is just 3km from the picturesque medieval village of Bourdeilles and 12 km from the beautiful town of Brantome. Brantome is known as "The Venice of the Perigord"...a photographer's paradise.|
