Come and experience life in a typically beautiful French village close to the banks of the Dordogne River.
Tremolat is a medieval village on the Pilgrim Route to Compostela and has the typical ancient stone buildings that the area is famous for.
The local bakery is just a short walk away through the church courtyard and where you can buy fresh baked croissants and pastries for your morning breakfast. Close by is the cafe bar where you can watch the world go by while enjoying a cup of coffee and where you are welcome to sit and eat your fresh pastries in the morning, It is also a restaurant where you can enjoy a good meal at lunch or in the evenings with a nice cool beer or a glass of local wine.
The river is a 15 minute walk away and has a lovely green space for picnics and leisure. Hire a canoe or a paddle boat or even book a waterski session!
On Tuesday we have a small market on the village square where you can buy fresh vegetables and local delicacies like cheese and strawberries.
Within driving distance there is so much to see and do. Visit a chateau. Take a wine tour. Book a flight over the region for a birds eye view of the lovely countryside. Take a riverboat trip or go up in a hot air balloon! Explore any number of beautiful villages and bastide towns with their weekly markets, restaurants and shops. Book a gastro lunch at the famous Michelin restaurant just at the end of our lane. Or just laze by the pool with a good book…..
A recently converted Perigordine stone barn. The Atelier is down a quiet road just off the village square in the beautiful medieval village of Tremolat.
Tremolat is between Sarlat and Bergerac and close to all the sights and sounds of the beautiful Dordogne Valley.
With 2 en suite bedrooms, large open plan living and an enclosed private garden with a 5.5m x 3.5m pool The Atelier is a spacious and comfortable home.
The Atelier is so called as it used to be a carpentry workshop dating back to the middle ages. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs both with en suite shower rooms. On the ground floor we have a large open plan lounge with a fully fitted kitchen and a dining area. There is also a cloakroom and a separate utility room. The garden is fully enclosed and has a large terrace with outside dining and a large gas bbq. There are comfortable wooden sunbeds.
We offer satellite tv and internet access. There is off road parking.
Andrew and I live nearby and are available for any advice or to solve any problems.
The kitchen is fully fitted with a large fridge-freezer, a full sized electric oven and a gas hob. All necessary equipment is provided.
There is a separate utility room with washing machine and dishwasher and a downstairs loo.
The dining table easily seats 8.
The lounge forms part of the large open plan living space and overlooks the garden. There is a comfortable 3 piece suite for 4 people, a flat screen tv with skybox and wi-fi.
Both double bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and ample clothes storage. Fans are provided. For your comfort we offer egyptian cotton bedding and summer weight kingsize duvets.
The shower rooms are en suite to each bedroom and have nice big showers with lots of hot water. Bath towels and pool towels are provided
There is air conditioning for those very hot days and a woodburner for out of season visits
The garden is fully enclosed with a large terrace and a big gas bbq for all fresco dining.
There are 4 comfortable wooden sunloungers with comfy cushions and an outside sofa and coffee table. Lounger cushions and outside towels are provided.
The parking is on our private land just opposite the house.
We have been living in this beautiful part of France for nearly 18 years. Our kids grew up here and consider it home. We have nearly finished our house! Hoping to take it a little easier soon as we hope to travel a bit...

There are any number of chateaux to visit near here, some with vineyards for wine tasting and others just to visit. Beynac and Castelnaud famous for their anglo french battles during the 100 years war. Milandes - the home of Josephine Baker with falconry displays every day.
