This region is called the land of a 1001 chateaux, so there are are plenty of castles to visit.

A lovely gite in a superb location for exploring the Dordogne. The property is full of character and so comfortable; we stayed for a week in May and loved sitting out in the beautiful garden enjoying some of the local wines. It's a quiet, peaceful location and perfect for whiling away those lazy afternoons.
The village of Tremolat is just a five minute stroll and is a real haven for foodies... a Michelin starred restaurant, a bistro, a pizzeria - all serving delicious food and great value for money. The surrounding countryside is stunning and there is so much to do in easy reach - from the local hypermarche to canoeing on the river, visiting castles or magical caves.
