An Enormous 6 Bedroom Farmhouse With Plenty Of Space. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

La Grande Maison is a large stone farmhouse, some of which dates back to 17th Century!

It has plenty of space and lends itself perfectly for large families of groups of friends!

Kitchen and dining

Large farmhouse kitchen with centre island and table.
There is a large, stainless steel 5 ring gas hob and oven. The kitchen also ofters an American style fridge freezer with water and ice dispenser, and a smaller under counter fridge to keep you wine and other drinks cool!
There is a dishwasher and the kitchen has all the cooking luxuries you will need!

The large dining room can be found through the stone inner hall. There are two large tables for 8/10 people each! Plenty of space for everyone!

Living rooms

There is an enormous living room with several seating areas for the adults around the fire, the children around the tv and the teenagers in the wi-fi zone!

Up a flight of stairs to the mezzanine floor where there are games and puzzles and your very own pool table!

Bedrooms

La Grande Maison boasts 6 bedrooms!

There is a very large bedroom on the ground floor, with private access to the patio and a newly fitted en suite bathroom, with walk in shower.
This room is perfect for the parents or grandparents as there are is only one small step into the room or into the bathroom.

Upstairs there are 5 further bedrooms consisting of:

Large Family room with king size bed, two single beds and a double futon
Twin room
Double Room
Two Triple Rooms with double beds and a single bed.

Bathrooms

The house has 4 en suite bathrooms, one of which is situated in the large family room and that has a bath. All the other ensuite rooms have showers, toilets and basins.

There is a further shower room with toilet and basin that is shared between one of the triple rooms and the twin room (both of which have their own basin).

Downstairs, there are toilet facilities off the dining room with accessibility for a wheelchair.

Heating

The house is heated by a combination of Dordogne sunshine, gas central heating and electric radiators.

In the living room is an enormous Jotul woodburner that heats the large vaulted ceiling room and mezzanine floor!

The house is well equipped with games and puzzles, a piano, an antique organ, and a pool table!

About the Owner/Advertiser, Ms Lisa Hewitt-Coleman

Paul is ex Metropolitan Police Officer and I am a former management consultant, but we gave up the rat race and followed our hearts and moved to the Dordogne to run gite businesses - it's the best thing we have ever done! <br/>We have 4 kids between us, 2 of whom live here with us, together with 3 dogs and 3 cats - and 3.5 hectares to run loose in! <br/>We have tried to create a very relaxed, home from home atmosphere where we work hard.

Why this location? La Grande Maison is within walking distance of the commune of Razac d'Eymet, where we cater for the entire commune (and beyond) with bbq burgers and hot dogs on a Friday night.
We are also within easy reach of the Bastide town of Eymet, which it's summer markets, bars and restaurants and plenty of joie de vivre. We are also within easy reach of the historic town of Bergerac, the stunning Dordogne river and all the kayaking and water sports it offers, and only 20 mins to Bergerac airport.

La Grande Maison is situated at one end of the complex and, as its name suggests, is a grand 6 bedroom property with an enormous living room with vaulted ceiling and impressive glass barn doors and a large farmhouse style kitchen. There is even a mezzanine floor with a pool table! It is perfectly designed for large families, or groups of friends, to enjoy their summer holidays or Christmas together, without treading on each others toes. It has its own private terrace with bbq and is own access to the 3.5 hectares of land, with gated 10m x 5m shared swimming pool.
The large garden has a ping pong table, a petanque pitch and climbing frames/swings for the little ones. At the bottom of the fields is our very own small fishing lake.
The house can comfortably sleep up to 18 people in its 6 bedrooms, one of which is downstairs and has its own access to the terrace.
