Les Cabanes is located in a beautiful rural setting. As such it is quiet and private....a very peaceful place. Woodlands surround the property and there is considerable wild life, deer, red squirrels, hares plus much more.
Consequently Les Cabanes will suit those seeking countryside pleasures like walking, canoeing, horse riding and golf. And of course barbecuing and spending time in an around the pool.
The house is large which allows families sharing the holiday or families with, say, grandparents, to have time and space to themselves when they need it.
The house and pool are well over 100 metres from the road. The pool area is totally contained within barn walls and entry is by way of a self shutting gate. A padlock is provided for those seeking an additional safety measure
During the eighties I was promoted to a European wide post based in Paris. As a family we lived in France for 5 years before returning to the UK. We fell for La Belle France in a big way. Hence no surprise that we bought ourselves a holiday home where the days are sunny (mostly !) and the warm nights are star laden
|Year property purchased||1997|
|Why this location?||We wanted somewhere rural where the weather was kind and transport by air. rail and road was all good......and the wine's not bad either.|
|Unique benefits of property||Peace, privacy and plenty of room|

This was our 4th visit to Les Cabanes (LC) over the past decade and the only observation to make is that it gets ever better each time we visit. For anyone who wants peaceful relaxation it's a must. The solitude is almost tangible and deafening!
The property and its surrounding grounds are large and spacious so even for group visits there are lots of nooks and crannies to lose oneself in. Nature is just outside the idoor so local walks through vine covered fields and hamlets are one of the treats of a holiday here.
Visits to local towns such as Eymet and Bergerac are also bound to please, alongside a must see visit to the chateau at Monbazillac to enjoy a wine tasting. A slightly longer car trip takes in the beautiful town of St. Emillion too! Wine features a lot in this area which is why one comes here isn't it?
Back at LC the swimming pool and attached BBQ area is a special feature, set in the grounds around an excavated barn, idyllic on warm balmy evenings, enjoying the fruits of the local produce from the supermarkets, shops and wine cooperatives in the 8km radius.
For those who seek frenetic, exhausting holidays this is definitely not one for you but for all those with sensible holiday tastes out there - give it a go and you won't be disappointed!
I live here in France, it was for my friends to stay whilst visiting and they were over the moon with the location and character of Les Cabanes, the secluded pool area was very popular with and they will definitely be coming again
